The Sporty Me
When I left school at 16, I knew I wanted to make a career out of health and fitness. My passion for training and my love for sports led me to dive deep into the world of fitness. I’ve always been an athlete at heart. My first love was Judo at age 8, which eventually led me to Thai Boxing and traditional boxing in my teens and early twenties. Along the way, I competed in sports like basketball and badminton and developed a strong interest in weightlifting. I even competed in the Reebok challenge fitness competitions before CrossFit was even a thing. Back then, it was all about cardio, weights, and bodyweight exercises against the clock.

In my late twenties and early thirties, I turned my attention to powerlifting, and nowadays, I’m focused on lifting weights, high-intensity cardio on the Concept II rower, and working on my grip strength—a vital yet often neglected area in many training routines.
Fitness and strength aren’t just about looking good—they’re about building a solid foundation for life, which is why I’m so passionate about what I do.
The Educated Me
I’ve always had an innate curiosity about how things work—especially the human body. After leaving school, I studied sports and leisure at Southwark College, along with A-level sports studies. By the time I was 18, I was already a qualified fitness instructor and a certified weightlifting coach under B.A.W.L.A.
But my thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. Over the years, I’ve deepened my understanding of nutrition, lifestyle choices, and exercise physiology. I’m a qualified nutrition and lifestyle coach, with certifications in sports nutrition and coaching. Currently, I’m studying for a BSc in Biomedical Science at The London Metropolitan University, which allows me to blend the latest scientific research with practical experience to offer my clients the most up-to-date guidance on achieving lasting change.
My background in both hands-on coaching and academic research means I can offer a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to health and fitness—whether it’s improving performance, managing emotional eating, or building a healthier lifestyle.
When I’m not coaching or studying, I’m likely spending time with my incredible family. I’m a proud father of five, with children ranging from 23 years old to under 1 year old. I’ve learned that life is all about finding balance, and my family is a big part of what keeps me grounded and motivated.
I’m also a huge dog lover and share my home with a bouncy Doberman-Lurcher cross who insists on squeezing into my lap (despite his size).
In addition to being passionate about health and fitness, I also know the value of good food and good company. I’m half Portuguese, so naturally, I’m a big fan of delicious food and fine wine. My favourite way to unwind is spending time at the beach, even though I’m a terrible swimmer! I’m also a lover of music, and while I’m not the best dancer, I’ll admit I do enjoy a little shimmy—especially after a drink or two.
But honestly, my happiest moments are spent in front of an open fire (BBQ in the summer!) with my family and some good food.
Through all the ups and downs in my life and career, I’ve learned that happiness isn’t about money or things—it’s about finding fulfilment, purpose, and peace. I’ve been fortunate enough to turn my passion for fitness and coaching into a meaningful career, and there’s nothing I love more than helping people break free from their struggles with food, fitness, and self-worth.
I know how challenging it can be to find a healthy balance, especially when it comes to emotional eating and feeling overwhelmed by the noise of diet culture. But I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can reclaim their power over food and their body.
My approach is rooted in personalized care, science-backed strategies, and a whole lot of empathy. Whether you’re struggling with emotional eating, binge eating, or just looking for sustainable lifestyle changes, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I work with a limited number of clients at a time to ensure I can give each person the focused, personalized attention they deserve. My goal is to deliver real, lasting transformations—not just a quick fix.
If you're ready to heal your relationship with food, improve your fitness, and start living the life you deserve, let’s talk. I’m here to help you succeed.
